Uma das capitais com o pior trânsito do Brasil, tanto que ficou fora da lista das 100 cidades brasileiras com melhor mobilidade, divulgada em março deste ano pelo Ranking Connected Smart Cities 2024, devido à falta de gestão e políticas públicas de mobilidade urbana. Nesta quarta-feita, 24/9, o trânsito de Manaus foi pauta da pré-candidata ao governo Professora Maria do Carmo (PL).
“Caos. Não existe palavra melhor para definir o trânsito em Manaus”, diz a pré-candidata, que tem ido às ruas ouvir a população e mostrar de perto os problemas que se acumulam pela incompetência do que ela tem chamado de ‘velha política’.
De forma didática, a Professora explica que cuidar do dinheiro público deveria ser como cuidar do orçamento da própria casa: “é preciso ter prioridade e saber o que vem primeiro. Sei bem disso, porque sou dona de casa, empresária e, graças a Deus e ao esforço da minha família e dos meus colaboradores, nossos empreendimentos vão muito bem”.

Candidata a vice-prefeita de Manaus nas Eleições 2024, a Professora Maria do Carmo lembra das propostas apresentadas por ela para modernizar o sistema de transporte público, melhorar o trânsito da cidade e favorecer o turismo com a implementação do BRT (Bus Rápido Trânsito) e do VLT (Veículo Leve sobre Trilhos). Segundo ela, esses projetos serão incorporados nos seu futuro plano de governo, que será apresentado no ano que vem.
“Nós, sim, temos projetos viáveis que, por enquanto, vamos guardar. Afinal, a velha política adora copiar até a ideia dos outros”, finaliza Maria do Carmo.
