O menino de 2 anos, saiu da escola sem ser notado pelos funcionários. Ele andou sozinho pelas ruas de Goiânia quando um motorista que passava pelo local achou estranho e parou para conversar com ele. Em seguida, um garoto de 13 anos encontrou o menino enquanto andava de bicicleta e o ajudou a voltar para casa.
O caso aconteceu na tarde de sexta-feira (16). De acordo com a Valéria Cristina do Amaral, mãe da criança, a escola informou que passou por uma queda de energia, que fez com que o portão se abrisse e que Gael fugisse.
Imagens de câmera de monitoramento divulgadas pelo pai da criança nas redes sociais mostram o momento em que a criança caminha sozinha pelo meio da rua. José Neto Alves de Souza publicou vídeo em que é possível ver que um homem em um furgão chegou a parar o carro e conversar com a criança.
Por outro vídeo divulgado pelo pai da criança, é possível ver que um menino de bicicleta se aproximou do menino e o levou pela mão rua a cima. O menino chegou a olhar para os lados em busca de alguém que estivesse à procura do menino.
Em entrevista à TV Anhanguera, um vizinho contou que passou pela porta da escola e notou o portão aberto. Ao chegar em casa e saber que havia uma criança perdida chorando, José Luiz avisou à esposa, que foi até à escola.
“Minha esposa foi até a creche para confirmar se realmente estava faltando [uma criança], mas disseram que não estava. Mas, em seguida, a moça acompanhou ela dizendo que estava faltando uma criança e foram lá buscar”, narrou José Luiz.
