Uma mulher de 75 anos morreu após ser atacada por um cão da raça pitbull neste domingo (20), em Barra Mansa, no sul do Rio de Janeiro. O caso ocorreu na casa da irmã da vítima, no bairro Mangueira.
Segundo informações preliminares, a idosa foi atacada assim que entrou na residência. Na tentativa de escapar, acabou sendo arrastada pelo animal para fora da casa. Ela não resistiu aos ferimentos e morreu no local. O corpo foi encaminhado ao Instituto Médico Legal (IML) de Volta Redonda.
A Polícia Civil solicitou perícia no imóvel e registrou a ocorrência na 90ª DP (Barra Mansa). Testemunhas estão sendo ouvidas para esclarecer as circunstâncias do ataque. O tutor do pitbull não estava presente no momento da ocorrência.
O animal foi recolhido pelo Cirac (Centro Integrado de Recolhimento, Assistência e Controle de Animais) e levado para a unidade localizada em Porto Real, também no sul do estado.
